A call is issued for nominations of candidates for the ECTP Award for Lifetime Achievements. Applications can be made by any member of the thermophysics community and can originate from all over the world. The Award is to be given for well-defined original scientific achievements in thermophysics over a long period of time. The ECTP Award Committee will screen the received proposals, consider their acceptability, and evaluate them. The final decision regarding the attribution of the Award will be made by the International Organizing Committee (IOC) of the ECTP.
The nomination of candidates:
- may be made either personally or by a sponsor(s)
- must include a list of significant publications and other professional achievements in thermophysics that support the recommendation of the nominee for the Award
- should include 1-2 letter(s) of recommendations from respected members of the thermophysics community detailing the specific reasons for the nomination
The presentation of the Award will take place during the ECTP. Applications should be submitted in the form of one signed paper copy and also as an electronic version of the full text of the proposal and of all its attachments to the Chairman of the ECTP Award Committee :
