- International Journal of Thermophysics
- High Temperatures - High Pressures
- Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data
General Rules
It is on you, the author, to choose in which of the journals you want to submit your contribution. However, in order to have coherent and consistent special issues, the Organizing Committee will advise the authors of some specific sessions to submit preferably to one or the other journal with respect to the upcoming programme.
When sending your manuscript to a journal please mention that it has been presented at ECTP2008, as agreed with the respective journal editors.
The manuscript will undergo the normal peer review and this process is quite separate from presenting your paper to ECTP. It is the author's responsibility to submit his or her manuscript directly to the journal and this can be done as soon as possible after the conference and no later than 15th october 2008. In submitting your manuscript please ensure that:
- the subject matter is within the scope of the respective journal
- the manuscript contains a sufficient amount of new (unpublished) results
You should follow the style guidelines for whichever of the three journals, you have chosen, but with one important qualification. Because of their own requirements for printing, the journals ask that all tables, figures and photographs be kept on separate pages from the body of the manuscript. This is not a requirement for submission to ECTP, and in fact we would ask that all figures, tables and photographs are included in the body of the paper in the normal way.
Make sure to comply with the style of the journal to which you submit your manuscript. The guide for authors for the respective journals is obtainable from the following websites:

Specific Rules
International Journal of Thermophysics
Although recommended for the Int. J. Thermophys., it is not required that authors submit all tables and figures on separate pages from the body of the manuscript.
Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data
JCED will publish a special section for the conference and ask those who wish to have their contribution published in that section to contact the Organizing Committee who will forward their abstract to the designated Editor. The conference organizers will then be informed that the contribution is or is not acceptable and will forward the decision to the authors.
As soon as the abstract is selected as suitable for being reviewed, the authors:
- must adhere to all published JCED rules and policies;
- must be reviewed by peers in the same manner as all other articles;
- must adhere to the ACS copyright rules and ethics; and
- be acknowledged as paper representing work actually presented at a conference.
